CAMPUS SUMMARY
Laurel Business Institute was established in 1985 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania in order to meet the employment and training needs of the business community. We were originally located on the eighth floor of then what was then the Gallatin Bank building, and it was here that we began growing. First, three rooms. Then four. Then five. Soon, we outgrew the space and needed to find a new location. The school’s first building was purchased in 1991. This structure, is located on Penn Street, was formerly West Penn Power and West Penn Railways Company, Uniontown's primary trolley and bus depot through the early and mid 1900s. The school's second building (1999), across the street from the Penn Street facility on the corner of Penn and Beeson Boulevard, was built in 1924 and was Uniontown's original downtown Sears, Roebuck and Company. It's no accident that we housed our school in historical buildings. After all, capitalizing on the existing strengths of the region - its people, its brick and steel buildings, and its underlying resourcefulness - is the best way to generate prosperity and create jobs. We're proud to be a part of this effort.

Our goal is to provide you with quality career education and to help you develop your talents, skills, and knowledge for a sustainable career in a strong and viable industry. We design each of our programs with this in mind. We get input from employers who meet with our faculty, staff and administration to improve existing programs and to help create new ones, depending on the how the economy and needs of industry are evolving. This means that the skills and knowledge you gain when you earn a degree from Laurel Business Institute come directly from the people who do the hiring and who know what qualities make a reliable and valuable employee. In short, once you graduate, you're ready to join our other successful graduates who've helped us over the years to embody our long-standing theme: Real Degrees for the Real World.
