| CAMPUS SUMMARY |
 |
Bucks County Community College was founded in 1964. The campus consists of 200 acres which was formerly the Tyler Estate in Newtown Township. The beautiful Tyler State Park is adjacent to the campus. Over the years the College has expanded many times. To serve the needs of the entire county, off-campus sites were opened in Bristol in 1989 and in Perkasie in 1999.
Bucks County Community College is committed to the concept that everyone in our society should have the opportunity to develop his or her greatest potential. Our open door admissions policy encourages all who wish to obtain an education to do so; we affirmatively recruit students from all racial, ethnic, cultural and economic segments of the population. We provide to all members of the community a high quality, affordable, first two years of post-secondary education and a wide variety of educational experiences and opportunities which will enrich their lives, advance their careers and enable them to become more responsible citizens. |

| UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS |
 |
Bucks County Community College offers Associate of Arts Degrees and Certificate Programs. Many of our degrees are transfer programs which prepare students to transfer to four-year colleges or universities. Other degrees are occupational or technical and prepare students for jobs and career advancement. Our Certificate Programs are shorter programs, ranging from 15 to 34 credits. Credits earned in these programs may be applied toward an Associate of Arts degree. |
