CAMPUS SUMMARY
For over 78 years Central Pennsylvania College has been preeminently successful in preparing young men and women for exciting and productive careers in today's changing society. Nestled in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania's beautiful Cumberland Valley, the college calls the small town of Summerdale home. Thus Central Penn finds itself uniquely situated just across the Susquehanna River from the state Capital of Harrisburg, close enough to experience major cultural attractions such as Hershey Park and City Island, and yet far enough away to provide a safe and secluded learning environment. The 30 acre campus resembles a small suburban housing complex, with apartments and townhouses flanking the college's three main academic buildings. Is all part of an educational atmosphere that fosters personal discipline and responsiblity as well as the academics needed to become a productive member of America's working future.

UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Central Pennsylvania College, or Central Penn as it is universally known, awards an Associate in Science and an Associate in Applied Science across 19 majors that span the Legal, Business, Medical, Office Administration and Information Technology fields. The learning environment is less classroom oriented with more of a "hands on" flavor, to include a 180 hour internship. Classes are small, usually no more than 15 students, allowing for more personalized support from the faculty. And because the real working world doesn't have dormatories, neither does Central Penn! Students live in spacious townhouses or apartments. Classes run from 7:30 in the morning until 5:30 in the evening, and students wear the same professional attire to class as they would with their major if actually employed. This allows Central Penn to closely replicate the business world on campus - unique, but it works. Nearly 99% of all Central Penn students either find a job or move on to higher education immedately upon graduation.

And now in addition to its long standing excellence in career oriented two-year education, Central Penn has received Pennsylvania Department of Education approval to supplement this curriculum with three new Bachelor's programs covering a multitude of careers across the Business, Criminal Justice and Information Technology fields.

The College also offers several Information Technology Certification Programs on an evening, continuing education basis.
